As we welcome 2018, we at Magisterra Soloists want to thank you all for sharing so many wonderful moments with us this past year!
2017 brought countless new successes, and we have our many faithful fans to thank for that!
The past year gave us:
- Over 25 performances
- Our first Ontario-Québec Tour
- Outreach concerts reaching over a thousand students through “Magisterra in Schools”!
- The launch of “Magisterra at the Museum”
- Our successful second annual fundraiser, "Snapshots", at the Hassan Law Community Gallery
- …and the completion of our second full concert season!

“Entartete Musik”: Music of the Holocaust, Museum London
Thursday, January 18 at 7PM
Pre-concert talk: 6:30PM
- Featuring our superbly talented guest, London’s powerhouse saxophonist, Bobbi Thompson! Hear a concert of works banned under the Nazi regime by Hans Krása, László Weiner, Gideon Klein, Erwin Schulhoff, and Günter Raphael. The concert will be prefaced by a pre-concert talk by Professor Emeritus, Dr. Jeffrey Stokes. Dr. Stokes will take us inside the lives and times of some of these brave artists whose art continues to speak to us in a profound way today.
“Vienna”, Museum London
Thursday, March 8 at 7pm
- A beautifully lush program of Viennese music featuring works by Mozart alongside Bruckner‘s viola string quintet, the composer’s only chamber music work.
